My Signs
One of the first things people often notice about my campaign is my signs. They are definitley not your run-of-the mill campaign signs. They came about in a very intentional way.

Plastic yard signs do help get a message out (when done well) -- but there are far too many of them and most end up in a landfill. So my signs are:

-
Re-purposed from old signs (legs too!) - so as not to create additional waste
-
Hand painted by me. I find hand lettering them on my dining room table to me a nice way to relax at the end of the day.
-
ONLY ever placed on private property where I have an endorsement and/or an invitation from the property owner to place one. You will never find my sign placed randomly in a public right-of-way.
-
Designed to be saved and re-used. I hope I don't need them again until my re-election campaign, but one never knows.... And once I no longer need them, I can re-paint them for another use.

Thanks to former HVRSD School Board member Gordon Lewis, his hand painted signs were the first I had seen locally. I was definitely inspired by the idea!
