Sustainability
Environmental protection and sustainability are a core personal value of mine. These values reflected in everything I do, from the merchandise I carry in my store, to the cloth tablecloths and reusable flatware I bring to events, and to the repurposed, handpainted yard signs which promote my campaign, without adding additional plastic into our world.

I believe there is a lot we can do as a borough to be more mindful of our carbon footprint. Below are just a few examples, and I look forward to working iwith the Hopewell Valley Green team and our local non-profits to find more ideas.

-
Encouraging sustainable land care though education, incentives, and ordinances.
-
Advocating with Mercer County for more expansive recycling options.
-
Partnering with companies such as TerraCycle and One Compost Can for convenient curbside compost and recycling options that are also cost effective for residents.
-
Meet with local restaurant owners to find alternatives to plastic packaging.
-
Holding all official borough events to greener standards, so that we can model sustainability as a municipality.
-
Establishing ordinances that will limit the use of plastic yard signs placed in public right-of-ways, which in addition to creating plastic waste, also create litter on our streets and detract from the visual appeal of our town.
